Tinted glass changes the engraving
Five of the thirteen are coloured rather than clear: smoked grey, light coffee, brown and purple. The tint does two useful things. It deepens the colour of the spirit sitting in the glass, and it gives an engraved mark far more contrast than clear glass does, because the frosted cut reads pale against a dark body. Smoked grey also hides fingerprints, which matters on a glass people hold by the side. If the logo has fine detail, put it on a tinted glass.
Why two glasses cost S$12
Most of the range sits between S$2.50 and S$5.00. Two do not: the 220ml Japanese-style tumblers, which are smaller but noticeably thicker-walled, with the weight in the base that the style is known for. They are a single-gift glass rather than a bulk-order one. In the middle sit two worth knowing about, a 315ml with a hammered dimpled surface that gives grip, and a 295ml with a weighted base at the lowest price.

Which size for a neat pour?
The 185ml or the 250ml. The 300ml to 340ml tumblers leave room for ice and a mixer, which is a different drink.
Does the tint affect the engraving colour?
No, the cut is always pale. The tint only changes how much it stands out, and darker glass makes it stand out more.
Can we mix sizes and tints in one order?
Yes, with no minimum on any of them. A set of four in four different tints is a common request.
